Many gyms have barbells that have already been loaded with a given number of kilos. Other gyms you have to find yourself a bar and add the kilos you want. Find a barwith as many kilos as you want. The rod also weighs a little, you have to take that into consideration.
Hold the bar with a overhand grip. Your thumbs should be pointing towards each other.
Lift the bar up until you are in a 90 degree position. Then lower the bar back to the starting point.
Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
The exercise uses both shoulders, arms and core to keep you upright.
Have a straight backÂ during the exercise.
Many people think that you get enough training from other press exercises, such as. bench press, and therefore do not need this exercise. You have to decide on this yourself.
